Music-Recovery
Podcast Interview
My podcast guest is my cousin Jack. I picked him for my podcast as he studied music at university and is currently in a touring band. He experienced being in a band the impact covid had on him
The podcast is 1:55 seconds long and I just used the voice recorder on my IPhone and converted it to an MP3.
The main points we covered in the podcast was how the Covid Lockdown affected him music wise. I found out he tried to rehearse over Zoom, however it did not work out for them. He mentioned off air that because of the amount of spare time he had led to him writing and playing, in hope when he finally played with people again they would create lots of new material. This ended up happening as when I asked what it was like to play together again he mentioned how excited they all were. They quickly managed to quickly record and release new songs and material because of how much ideas they all had. Playing live again he also said was "perfect" seeing how the crowd was enjoying themselves.
I believe this shows that obviously the lockdown was terrible for musicians and bands, with the amount of time they had to themselves it led to them "honing" their craft almost and having an influx of new ideas to share with others and create new music.
